A fine performance by Spartans in this one from start to finish we dominated this game. Again both Halsey and Andrew shone in midfield. First goal from Medhi was a clear keeper mistake however he did find a shot that hit the target. We should have really been up at least 2 at half time with some glarring misses. Fortunetly for us today our back 4 of Hoy, Streaky, Locke and Oggy were outstanding thwaring any attack they made. At 1-0 at half time we still had contest to win.

In the second half their dangerous blonde striker got through and had a shot which was superbly saved by Rich with one hand. This was a huge save that gave us the lead still. Then a brilliant goal taken by Medhi who rifled the ball in the back of the net from just outside the box. It was a superb finish of the highest level. After being 2 goals up we change the team around and we still kept our shape which was excellent to see. Some players which have been struggling recently came on and played really well, for me this was one of the highlights of the day. The final goal was a very cool and calm Tim Murphy goal who was one and one with the keeper and simply passed the ball in the back of net neatly.

To make the afternoon complete our lovely new sponsor ILA came to watch us, bringing us bottles of Hoegarden and Kronenburg for the team. All in all a terrific day out and a good win.
