This had early season scratchiness written all over it!!! A few players unfit and bit slower to the ball than usual. Trademark passing was still there but our finishing was abysmal. We missed a hat full of chances in the first half and then when HKAE eventually ventured into our half they scored from long range. 1-nil down we continued to bombard their goal until finally in the second half Flabbo slotted a goal, much to the relief of the Spartan contingent. The goals seem to flow then, Streaky scored his first Spartans goal for sometime with excellent forceful header from corner. And the Flabbo put the final touches to nice worked move to slot in his second.

However at 3-1 down and players playing in all different types of positions we started to lose shape in the last 10 minutes. Then an error ridden goal by HKAE setup for a nervous last few minutes. A win is a win and we will certainly take it but nothing to shout about.
