PAFC 5 vs Monopoly 2

Much more of this malarky and people will start calling us a FOOTY team!!!

A sunny day saw PA make the short trip to a new venue (Well for us anyways) Kings Park. Another excellent squad effort as PA start the game against unknowns Monopoly missing 3/4 first team regulars but still manage good quality and 2 subs.

Blimey it was chaffing hot as the first 10 mins looked very cagey. Pimmy then started to boss both centrebacks and some nerves  set in. With Wicksy (just starting to sweat the 4 oc finish out) linking well with new boy Farrell in the middle of the park PA took control.

0 -1 Sublime....Some neat interplay at the back saw fullback Ansell feed Redders, A burst down the left saw a lovely left foot cross (Reds normally stands on that foot only!!) into the area. Pimmy arrives just in time.
Keeper didn't move a muscle as he glances the header home.

0 -2 Debate, debate and more debate. PA well on top at this stage with Pimmy and Ted having missed a couple each with Pimmy wrongly being flagged offside when clean through. The second arrived after some lovely interplay between Pimmy and Wicksy. A raking cross field ball to Blakey was dummied by Pimmy who Monopoly thought was offside, The ref decided Pimmy was inactive and coz he didnt touch the ball Blakey was clean through....No mistake from the new wideboy (NO not macca, he's the old wideboy!!).

1 -2 PA looking comfortable but Monopoly who themselves were missing 2/3 players started to find their feet and put together some good passages of play. Then 5 minutes of madness as the backs switched off. A PA mix up gives the ball to Monoploy in the box, The boy did well as he evades 2 tackles and nastily toe pokes it home (Hey if it good enough for Ronaldo in the world cup defo fits our league). Ooops another slip up sees Monopoly clean through for 2 - 2...Nooooooooooooooooooooo Scott comes to the rescue with a fantastic block.

1 -2 half time.

1 - 4 Second half sees PA step up a gear and I think Monopoly will admit were beaten fair a square. Ted Baker now playing a little behind Pimmy set up 2 identical goals. Picking the ball up in midfield he turns and supplies Pimmy with two through balls, One Pimmy finishes with his head and to complete his hattrick with a sublime chip into the corner.

2 - 4 PA determined to make it hard as a harsh foul on the sideline sees a whipped free kick go straight over Scott (that cost him a down in one in the bar afterwards for sure!!) and into the corner.

2 - 5 ALL over as PA still pile forward and a Pimmy mazy run was finished off by Redders at the far post after a lovely pullback. Blimey this LOOKS like football.

Great day. Monopoly are a good team and a welcome addition with the game played in excellent spirit. Kings Park is both close and good quality. AND what can you say about the bar being on the sideline. MAGIC DARTS!!!!
