HKAE has secured its 2nd and one of the most promising win of the season in the match against Monopoly!

With only bare 11 players to play for the whole game (and I was kinda late without any warm ups), the game started, as expected, with Monopoly pressuring HKAE’s defence line. Knowingly that we don’t have any substitutions, HKAE players played conservatively and wait for chances for counterattacks.

In first 10mins HKAE had an excellent chance to score. Through excellent passing from Simon, Gary break through the defence and shoot pass the GK, just 2 inches wide from the goal.

As Monopoly’s defence line push upper and upper in search of a goal, HKAE finally took its chance to score through excellent passing between Sebastian, Gary and Simon. Gary has break through Monopoly’s defence again and shoot pass the GK, this time he perfectly put the ball in the right side of the net. 1-0

HKAE then started to gain its rhythm and take control of the game. Simon, has yet made another excellent crossing to Sebastian for a Eng-premier-style header to spread the score line to 2-0.

Monopoly seems to be crashed up after losing 2 goals and not long from the half time, HKAE took another chance for counter attack and Simon made the goal himself this time, making it 3-0 in the first half.

In the 2nd half, Monopoly has regained themselves and looked determined to get a goal back.. Given that HKAE only had 11 players and many of us were started to run out of energy, we played defensively with the 2 forwards to play the counter-attack. Although Monopoly has gained most of the possession, Monopoly fails to take it chances to score whereas HKAE’s counterattack seems more lethal.

HKAE finally waited the whistle blows and enjoyed its 2nd victory of the season + maintain the hope to quality for the champions league.
