On one of those hot summer days, BOC emerged triumphant on the semi final place decider with a deserved victory over the JLeaguers. With a victory needed by the BOCs, it was a massive boost to tired and sunburnt limbs when Kehinde Longe scored when he slotted the ball between the legs of the out rushing goalie after the JLeaguers failed to play their offside trap.

There was not much goal mouth action in the first half as both teams were struggling with the heat. In the second half JLeaguers pressed for the equalizer as that was all they needed to go through. BOC defended deep and were getting pressed back more and more with the occasional long ball being the only way out.

It was from one of these attacks that led to BOC's second goal. A quick throw to a just sub-ed BOC player enabled him to beat the full back and whip in a cross on the ground that was met full on by the onrushing Jason Lee that saw the ball smash into the back of the net with the goalie having no chance. BOCs thought the game was won but back came the JLeaguers who won a penalty with about 5 mins to go. No surprise then that from then on, BOC just hoofed the ball down field. No surprise then that South has proclaimed that his 25 yard chip which gave the excellent USRC keeper no chance was all skill. With the ball suddenly at his feet, only he (and only he) knows how he managed to score with such accuracy and deftest of touch when the position of his body and the velocity at which his foot struck the ball, should have sent the ball way over the conveniently located drinking bar at King's park - but then again , only goals that have that much disguise...and come around every 10 years or so can be scored ...you just had to be there to witness it. As expected the first half was a fairly even affair with both teams having very few chances. The second half the defending champions Spartans started the stronger missing a few open chances. This was to prove costly with the heat taking it's toll, Revolution showing more resolve and with 5 minutes  to go a David  Jessop  header  from corner opened the scoring. The Spartans still had a chance to salvage a point but an excellent last minute save by Revolutions goal keeper Richard Hudson  recorded a famous victory.

Week 1 : Saturday 30th August

Week 1: BoCs 2  vs Mes Amis 3  1.30pm - Sandy Bay old astro

On a baking hot day an open and high scoring game in torrid heat, Mes Amis scored a narrow victory to kick off their campaign in style. Stuart McInness opened the scoring with nice strike before three times golden boot winner Jason Lee scored a double to put BoCs in the lead. However before half time Matt Farnham equalized for Mes to bring the teams at 2 all deadlock at the break. The second half was different story with the heat taking it's toll on both teams. With little opportunities and the game slowing down it looked as though both teams would settle for a draw. However with 10 minutes to go Tony Hamilton had enough energy to source an opening to strike home the winner.
