Week 37 : Saturday 6th July  (Champions League - Final)

Week 37: Spartans  0  vs Force 1  3.00pm - Sandy Bay new astro
In torrid heat the Force claimed the Champions League final in a tough game at Sandy Bay new astro. Both teams were fairly even in the first half before a free kick was deflected into the Spartans goal for the opening goal. The game continued with the Spartans starting to dominate in the second half. The Spartans celebrations ended premature when they had a goal disallowed for offside. Even though the Force where under the pump for much of the second half they were still dangerous on the counter attack and where unable to kill off the game. In the end the Force held on to score an excellent victory and claim their first silverware in the HK Legal League.

Week 36 : Saturday 21st June  (Champions League - Semi Final)

Week 36: Monopoly 0  vs Force 2  12.00noon - Kings Park
In heat wave conditions Monopoly and Force fought out a tough semi final clash at King Park. The game was played at breath taking pace with both sides fighting hard to clinch a final spot. The first half offered very few opportunities with both defences dominating and the few chances that appeared where not taken by either teams strikers. With the game at deadlock both sides came into the break at nil-nil with all to play for. The second half the game really opened up with the play flowing from one end to the other. Midway through the half Force's Raymond Lau found a bit of space in the Monopoly defence and strike home the all in important first goal. Monopoly responded well and had several near misses however as the game went on they were running out of time. With only a few minutes left Jur Jur Yip broke the offside trap to score the second and book Force into the cup final.

Week 36:  ADW 0  vs Spartans 1  6.30pm - Sandy Bay new astro
ADW and Spartans played the final league game of the season at Sandy Bay's twilight in a friendly and open atmosphere. The first half saw both sides have plenty of chances to score however neither side's strikers could find the net in this open game. At the half time break some how both teams came in goalless and wondering when the vital goal would appear. The second half continued in the same vain with both teams having numerous chances to score. However Medhi Selhi beat the offside trap to slot home the winner and give this years champions  a final win against a resilient ADW.

Week 35 : Saturday 14th June  (Champions League - Semi Finals)

Week 35: Mes Amis 1  vs Spartans 2  12.30pm - Sandy Bay
In an absorbing high level game Spartans and Mes Amis fought out an excellent semi final clash at Sandy Bay new astro. A Benito Renfrum free kick was met by Medhi Selhi who opened the scoring for the Spartans early in the half. Mes Amis responded well and had a few penalty claims plus some excellent strikes from Phil Downing and Stuart McIness narrowly missing. Spartans held on till the half to a slender lead however Mes Amis leveled the scores after half time with a wonder strike outside the box from Robert Norman. The fast action game continued with both teams giving there hearts out in this gruelling game. Spartans have a few one on one chances with Lee Brown making some outstanding saves to keep the scores leveled. Mes also had some close range shots to score but didn't take advantage of it. With only minutes to go Renato Calharvro was fouled in the box to give the Spartans a penalty, which Colin Scalan slotted home the winner.

Week 35:  Monopoly  vs Force  12.00noon - Kings Park
Kings Park upper was flooded and the game was unable to be played. The game is rescheduled to next week same venue same time.

Week 34 : Saturday 7th June

Week 34: ADW   vs Spartans  12.30pm - Sandy Bay
Black rain warning was posted prevented the game from being played. The game will be played at a later date.

Week 33 : Saturday 31st May

Week 33: Monopoly 3  vs Spartans 4 12.00 noon - Kings Park
League winners took on the resurgent Monopoly in a must win Champions League game. Monopoly started the brighter with Rick Multari breaking through the Spartans defence to slot home the first goal of the match. Youssef Ajdir then slot home a free kick to put Monopoly 2 nil up after 15 minutes. However the Spartans responded well with Jan Butil getting at the end of corner to claw back a goal then Medhi Selhi leveled the scores with well taken finish. Before Renato Cavalahro put the Spartans in the lead and Jonathan Southgate strike took the Spartans 4-2 at the break. Little separated the teams in the second half before Ed Doyle slotted home a goal for Monopoly leaving a tense final 20 minutes for the Spartans to hold out for a much needed victory.

Week 30: BOCs 2  vs PAFC 0 (forfeit) 4.00pm - Sandy Bay (new astro)
PAFC was unable to field a side and BOCs were awarded the game.


Week 32 : Saturday 24th May

Week 32: Men Utd 0  vs Spartans 6 5.30 pm - Sandy Bay (new)
In a very one sided affair Ashton Crosby scored a hatrick to set the tone for an emphatic victory to Spartans. Two more goals from Like Pissano in the first half gave the Spartans a 4-nil lead at the break. An additional goal from Medhi Selhi after a mazy run from Steve Gordon and Ashton's late goal completed the demolition.

Week 31 : Saturday 17th May

Week 31: Legal Head 3  vs Spartans 3 4.00 pm - Sandy Bay (new)
In a Topsy turvy game the lead went back and forth before both teams had to settle for a draw in the end. Legal Head took an early lead with Ian Aggasi flick on header. Before Benito Renfrum took an excellent penalty to take the teams 1 all at the break. Spartans then conceded an own goal before bouncing back with goals from Pete Rigby and Issac Davies. However Spartans once again scored another own goal to have the scores all leveled at the final whistle.

Week 31: Mes Amis 4  vs BOCs 2 2.00pm - Sandy Bay (new astro)
Mes Amis started the brighter with an early goal in the first half before a Jason Lee strike level the score. However Mes continued to push on and another goal before the break gave them the lead once more. The second half Mes once again scored before BOCs hit back with a Mes Amis own goal. However another Mes strike settled the game with a comfortable win in the end.

Week 31: PAFC 1  vs JLeaguers 3 (double points) 4.30pm - Happy Valley (5)
JLeaguers battled against a resilient PAFC side to win an important game that had double points agreed by both managers before the game started. JLeaguers Takee opened the scoring with a nice finish after being put through by Aizawa. PAFC hit back to level the scores before the break . However in the second half Kondo's double put the game out of PAFC reach and an excellent victory in the end to the JLeaguers.

Week 30 : Saturday 3rd May

Week 30: BOCs 3  vs Men United 0 1.30 pm - Kowloon Tsai 3
BOCs looked in control from start to finish at the sun drenched Kowloon Tsai in this Champions League fixture. A double from Jason Lee in the first half had BoCs in cruise control. A further goal killed off the game to give BOCs a chance to make the semi's of the Champions League.

Week 30: Mes Amis 1  vs Spartans 4 12.30pm - Sandy Bay (new astro)
The Spartans clinched the 2007/2008 title with a double from Ian Kelher in the first half before additional goals by Paul Hodgeson and Colin Scallan.The Spartans went into the break with a commanding 4 nil lead. However the start of the second half was different affair with the reigning champions Mes Amis making an assault and an early goal from Stuart McIness showed some signs of comeback. However the Spartans resolve held on and as the game winded down the Spartans recorded an excellent win and cemented their place in Legal League history.

Week 30: PAFC 6  vs Revolution 5 4.30pm - Sandy Bay (old astro)
An amazing game took place at Sandy Bay where Revolution took a 4 nil lead at the break. Only for a 10 man PAFC side to claw back the goals in the second half and record a famous victory in a high scoring affair.

ADW was unable to field a side and Monopoly were awarded the game.

Week 29 : Saturday 26th April

Week 29: Mes Amis 2  vs Force 0 1.00 pm - Sandy Bay (old astro)
In a vital match that had both title aspirations as well as cup placing's Mes Amis and Force started in a frenzy with a fast action packed game. The first half there was nothing in it with both midfield's canceling each other in a dogged affair. Both sides went into the break nil all with all to play for. The second half was no different until Stuart McInnes opened up the Force defence with 15 minutes to go. A sublime strike to give Mes the all important first goal to edge Mes closer to a win. But with 5 minutes to go Simon Galvin broke away on the right to slot home the clincher to give Mes Amis a vital victory and keep them in the title race with a Champions League first placing as well.

Week 29: Revolution 2  vs ADW 0 (forfeit) 3.00pm - Ho Man Tin
ADW was unable to field a side and Revolution were awarded the game.

Week 28 : Saturday 19th April

Week 28: Spartans 4  vs Revolution 0 1.00 pm - Happy Valley astro
Spartans edged even closer to the league title and are now one win away from claiming silverware in a resounding victory over a trying Revolution side. The game was fairly tight before Paul Hodgeson's header put the Spartans ahead. Colin Scallan was on hand to provide assists for both Renato Carvalho's half volley and Ian Kehller's strike to put Spartans up 3-nil at half time. The second half Revolution continued to fight hard and Andy Saxon had a chance to close the gap but was unable to. In the end midfielder Benito Renfrum struck home the fourth to give the Spartans a resounding win.

Week 28: Monopoly 3  vs JLeaguers 1 12.00 noon - Kings Park
Monopoly continue their good run with a convincing win against a strong JLeaguers side at Kings Park. The game was fairly close at the start with both sides competing well Monopoly open the scoring with a wonder strike from Ed Doyle to give them the lead. JLeaguers responded well with an equalizer before half time to send both teams level at the break. The second half Monopoly speedy left player Nana Kofi rounded the JLeaguers defence to slot home the second and give Monopoly the lead. JLeaguers fought hard but couldn't find an opening and at the death Marc Scott was put through by Rick Multari to kill off the game and give Monopoly a huge win.

Week 28: PAFC 2  vs ADW 0 (forfeit) 1.30pm - Sandy Bay old
ADW was unable to field a side and PAFC were awarded the game.

Week 28: BOCs   vs Mes Amis (pitch flooded) 4.30pm - Happy Valley (5)
The game will be rescheuled at a later date after the pitch was closed due to pitch flooding..


Week 27 : Saturday 12th April

Week 27: Mes Amis 5  vs Revolution 1 4.30 pm - Po Tsui Park
In an important Champions League match at the hard surface Po Tsui Park Revolution started the brighter taking the lead early with an excellent strike just outside the goal area to take the lead. However Mes Amis striked back quickly with a Tommy Smith Jnr goal to equalize before Stuart McInness broke through Revolution's defence to take the lead for Mes before the break. In the second half Mes continued their dominance with Tommy Smith Jnr getting his second for the afternoon before Lee Brown and last years fantasy league player of the year Simon Galvin finishing off the drubbing in rampaging Mes style.

Week 27: ADW 4  vs JLeaguers 4 1.30 pm - Kowloon Tsai 3
Another vital Champions League fixture taking place at Kowloon Tsai with ADW taking on JLeaguers where both teams were looking for all three points. The game see-saw back and forth with ADWs Nathan Heyward on song with a double in the first half. JLeaguers responded well with Sugiura and Onodera both equalizing to take the teams level at the break. The game continued to be played at a fast a furious pace with Makino and Kondo scoring goals for the JLeaguers however ADWs Scandanaivian youngster Bjarne late strikes salvage a high scoring draw in an exciting match.

Week 27: BOCs 0  vs Force 1
1.00 pm - Kwong Fuk Park
In a tough and tight battle at the impressive Kwong Fuk Park BOC and Force had a leveling first half with very little in the game in terms of chances. Both sides went into the break in a stale mate and still looking for a valuable three points. The second half was very much the same affair with little in it before Lee Chi Wan got at the end of some nice play to slot home the winner to give the Force three points and the head of the league table.

Week 26 : Saturday 5th April

Week 26: BOCs 3  vs Spartans 3 3.00 pm - Kwong Fuk Park
In engaging battle at Kwong Fuk Park BOC's must have thought they had finished off the title contenders being up 3-1 with 5 minutes remaining. Goals from Kehinde and Steve Gordon in the first half complimented this fast flowing game as both sides went to the break 1-1 all in the soaring heat. An early goal for BOC gave them the lead once more and continued the pressure on the Spartans. Then with 5 minutes to go a Jason Lee shot from half way scored what looked like a major upset with 5 minutes remaining. However  no one expected to see a comeback but the Spartans showed gritty resolve to score two late goals to secure a valuable point with Jonathan Allard scoring the late equalizer.

Week 26: AdW 2  vs Legal Head 3 1.30 pm - Shep Kip Mei
In an exciting and fast paced game both sides had chances in the first half to go ahead at the picturesque Shep Kip Mei pitch. It was ADW's Veteran Legal League player Peter Hyms who opened the scoring with one of his powerful strikes to give ADW the lead at half time. In form Legal Head striker Ian Aggasi made a mazy run from outside the box to slot away the equalizer just after the break before Peter Hyms scored his second to give ADW the lead once more. Legal Head were not finished yet and Ian Aggasi golden boot was on song once more to snatch the equalizer before Rob Winmill header in the dying minutes from a corner sealed a famous victory for Legal Head.

Week 26: Mes Amis  vs PAFC(forfeit) 1.00 pm - Kowloon Tsai 2
Mes Amis claim 2-0 over PAFC forfeit.

Week 25 : Saturday 16th March 

Week 25: Monopoly 5  vs LegalHead 1 12.00noon - Kings Park
Monopoly dominated this game from start to finish with a comprehensive display to secure themselves a birth in this seasons Champions League Semi-Finals. Goals either side of the half from Chris Skinner and inform Oscar Vega where enough to give Monopoly all three points at Kings Park.

Week 25: Force 2  vs PAFC 1 1.00pm - Happy  Valley(6)
PAFC will rue the number of chances they spoiled as  the Force made good use of their opportunites in this tight game at the Valley. In the space of two minutes half way through the first half goals from Dicky Chan and Chi Wai Lee was enough to hold out PAFC. PAFC scored in the second half after dominating play but poor finishing couldn't secure them a point.

Week 25: BOC's 1  vs Revolution 6 4.30pm -Happy Valley(6)
Revolution turned the books for the season scoring one of their biggest victories of recent memory over the hapless BoC's. A William Toye hatrick was just the tonic in a game where there was only going to be one winner.  Further goals from Neil Robinson and Andy Saxon continued the rout as Revolution eye a promising end of season finish.

Week 25: JLeaguers 1  vs Mes Amis 1 4.30pm - Happy Valley(3)  
A Jim Rowland strike wasn't enough to secure the points for Mes Amis in this titanic battle against the JLeaguers at the Valley. Both teams were looking for a win to get their seasons back on track in this vital Champions League fixture but neither could secure the required points as the game flowed from end to end.

Week 24 : Saturday 8th March 

Week 24: Force 1  vs Revolution 0 1.00pm - Kwong Fuk Park

In an important Champions League game both side toiled hard at the grand Kwong Fuk Park in Tai Po. In the end a lone goal from the Force striker settled the  issue. The vital win puts Force clear of their Champions League group A and look to have cemented a semi-final spot.

Week 23: Mes Amis 3  vs Legal Head 3 1.30pm -Shep Kip Mei

Ian Agass hatrick was the highlight of this entertaining high scoring draw at Shep Kip Mei. Mes Amis started the brighter with Stuart McInnes in fine form to slot home two goals in the first half. However Legal Head scored just before the break to narrow the gap. The second half saw David Yip score a spectacular goal before Legal Head mounted a comeback with Ian Agass running into hot form.

Week 23 : Saturday 30th February 

Week 23: Spartans 4  vs PAFC 1 12.30noon - Sandy Bay new astro

Spartans for the second week running recorded a 4-1 victory this time against bottom cellars PAFC to distance themselves from the chasing pack. Both teams fought it out at Sandy Bay astro before the Spartans open the scoring to take a 1 nil lead to the break. The second half saw PAFC eqaulize before further goals from Renato Cavalhro and Steve Gordan gave the Spartans an all important victory over PAFC.

Week 23: Force 2  vs Legal Head 0 4.30pm - Kwong Fuk Park

Force continued Legal Heads problems with a tough 2 nil victory over their determined opponents. Stanley Ki excellent strike put Force ahead just before the break with little seperating the sides. The second half was a titanic battle with both teams having chances to score further. It wasn't till the dieing moments that Chung Chui settled the game with a break away goal for Force.

Week 22 : Saturday 23rd February 

Week 22: Monopoly 2  vs Force 1 12.00noon - Kings Park

Monopoly continued there recent good form with a gutsy 2-1 win over the Force at Kings Park. Monopoly started the better and were quickly in the lead by a Oscar Vega strike. Monopoly continued to dominate with Oscar hitting another cracker of a goal just before the half. Second half saw the Force hit back with a well taken goal immediately after the break. The Force continued to look for the equalizer but were unable to break Monopoly strong defence.

Week 22: JLeaguers 1  vs Spartans 4 4.30pm - Happy Valley (3)

The top of table clash saw the Spartans come run away winners at the Valley ground to take one step towards claiming the title this year. Spartans started the stronger of the two sides and were rewarded with a goal from Peter Rigby powerful left foot shot. Colin Scallan then continued his rich form chipping the keeper to put the Spartans ahead 2 nil at the break. The second half the JLeaguers started the brighter and clawed a goal back with excellent strike from Makino outside the box. However further goals from Colin Scallan and Jonathan Allard put the game out of reach for the JLeaguers and a well deserved victory for the Spartans.

Week 21 : Saturday 16th February 

Week 21: Mes Amis 2  vs ADW 2 4.30pm - Happy Valley

One of the games of the round both teams fought hard to get all three points but in the end had to settle for a disappointing draw. The first half was a torrid affair with the defences holding forte to come in the sheds at nil all. The second half however opened up to an exciting match with ADW's  A.Shields opened the scoring with an opportunity goal only for Downing to level the scores moments later. Then the ADW danish connection once again took the the lead before a crucial late goal from Chris Mait secured a draw for Mes Amis.

Week 21: Monopoly 2  vs Revolution 2 12.00noon - Kings Park

Revolution started the stronger of the two sides  with Jake Eagle opening the scoring for enterprising Revolution side. The second half started much in the same vain with a youthful Ricky Bernardo piercing the Monopoly defence to put Revolution 2 nil up. However with 20 minutes to go Monopoly never die attitude came to the fore with Youssef Ajdir slotting home a goal  from a counter attack.Then Steve Wozencroft ventured froward from a corner to header home the equlizer to salvage a point for a jubilant Monopoly.

Week 21: BOCs 1  vs Legal Head 0 3.00pm - Shek Kip Mei

At the excellent Shek Kip Mei Stadium both sides where looking for a vital 3 points in this important Champions League game. Both teams defences reign supreme with few opportunities in the first half . The second half was again a tight game before a bedazzling run by Jason Lee setup Tommy Kwan to hit home the winner.

Week 20 : Saturday 2nd February 
A complete write up of the round, special mention to all the players for participtating this weekend in what must of been the coldest and wetest day one can remember for some time..

Week 20: Mes Amis 5  vs BOC 0 12.00noon - Kings Park

Mes Amis controlled this game from start to finish.in a complete display of football. Mes started the game on a flyer with "Pipes" Downing scoring the opening. Another goal from Mes in the first half , Mes where up 2 nil at half time. The onslaught continued in the second half with Downing adding another goal to his tally. Before several other goals added to this one sided game.

Week 20: Legal Head 1 v PAFC 2 1.00pm - Po Lam

A late start to the game PAFC scored early through Lee Douris before Legal Head equilized before the half. The second half was a close affair before centre midfielder Ashley Dyer broke through the Legal Head defence to hammer home the winner.

Week 20: Force 1 v Spartans 6 12.30pm - Sandy Bay new astro

In a must win for both sides the first half was a hard fought battle before, Eddie Black broke the Spartans defence to open the scoring. The score remained 1 nil to the Force at the half time break. The second half was a different affair though with Henry Vera scoring with a header from a corner to level the scores. Medhi Selhi and Colin Scalan continued to bedazzle the Force defence with both scoring doubles and Steve Gordon slotting home another to complete the drubbing.

Week 20: JLeaguers 0 v Revolution 0 1.30pm - Sandy Bay old astro

In a see saw battle neither team was able to find the back of the net for this tight game. Both JLeaguers and Revolution had some opporunities to break the dead lock but neither could find the back of the net. In the end both teams had to settle for a draw in the important League and Champions League double match.


Week 19 : Saturday 26th January

Week 19: Monopoly 4  vs Men United 2 12.00noon - Kings Park

Monopoly continue their improved performance against the new side Men United with another convincing win. Goals from Peter Capel and Ed Doyle showed the way in the first half before Menu United peg one back before the break. The second half was very much the same senario Oscar Vega conituning  his good recent form to slot in another. Before Men United got a late consolation goal.Monopoly was able to knock one more in.

Week 19: ADW 1 v Force 2 12.30pm - Sandy Bay new astro

In a fierce battle both teams came to Sandy Bay looking for all vital 3 points.Force once again started the brighter with Stanley open the scoring for the Force. ADW responded in timely fashion to have the scores levelled at half time. A gripping second half with neither side giving a mich away unit Eddie Black took a well crafted opporunity to score and take all 3 points.

Week 18 : Saturday 19th January

Week 18: Monopoly 3  vs BoC's 0 12.00noon - Kings Park

Monopoly produce a dominating performance against the hapless BOC at the noon game in Kings Park.New signing Peter Capel strike open the scoring in the first half. Monopoly extended their lead with a Oscar Vega goal  after an excellent through ball from Mike Weir. Monopoly scored again to put the game out of reach of BOC and three valuable points.

Week 18: Revolution 2 v Legal Head 1 3.00pm - Tsang Tai UK Recreation Ground

In a spirited game Revolution took the lead in the first half. Legal Head bounced back to level the scores at half time. In the second half the game was on the balance with Legal Head having a number of chance before Revoultion scored the winner.

Week 17 : Saturday 12th January

Week 17: Monopoly 1  vs Legal Head 2 12.00noon - Kings Park

In this important Champions League fixture Monopoly started the brighter and took the lead through excellent play by Richard Broadhurst and smart finish by Ed Doyle. Monopoly went into the break one nil up before Legal Head staged an excellent fightback in the second half. Legal Head scored twice to secure a vital win and leads their Champions League group.

Week 17: JLeaguers 0 v BOC's 0 1.30pm - Kowloon Tsai 3

JLeaguers and BOC's played hard fought nil-all draw in the ever compromising Kowloon Tsai grass pitch. Clocking back the years were Legal League were always played at this venue, both teams fought hard for the victory but neither could break the other teams defence.

Week 16 : Saturday 15th December

Week 16: Spartans 1  vs PAFC 0 12.30noon - Sandy Bay new astro

In a tight contest Spartans started the brighter before scoring early in the game to take a 1 nil lead. PAFC pressed on with a few goal line chances and twice hit the woodwork but PAFC was unable to equaliser before the break. The second half was a close affair before Spartans were denied an offside goal. PAFC however started to pressure the Spartans back four for that ullusive goal having numerous coners. However PAFC were unable to break the Spartans defence to give the game to the Spartans who now lead the table for the Christmas break.

Week 16: ADW 1 v Mes Amis 0 3.00pm - Sandy Bay old astro

ADW edged out Mes Amis at Sandy Bay old astro with an Ellan Hallberg strike to keep ADW well contention for the title race. Both teams nullfied one another out with little seperating both sides to have a goalless first half. In the second half both teams had chances before ADW scored the winner with only minutes to go.

Week 15: Revolution  v BOCs  7.00pm - Sandy Bay new astro

Jason Lee beat the offside trap to score the sole winning goal against the luckless Revolution. In a tough encounter the game was played under lights at Sandy Bay new astro with very little seperatng both teams. That was until three time golden boot winner Jason Lee found space to slot home the winner with 5 minutes to go.

Week 14 : Saturday 1st December

Week 14: Spartans 1  vs  Mes Amis 1 4.30pm - Sai Kung

Spartans and Mes Amis travelled to Sai Kung to play a tough match which in the end both teams came away with a point. Mes Amis started the brighter and where awarded a penalty after Steve Crane was fouled in the box. However Rich Avery made an excellent save to keep the game scoreless before Luke Pisano scored to put Spartans up one nil at half time. The second half was a torid affair with Mes pressing and getting an equalizer to level the scores. The game continued with Mes having more of the play but both teams failed to take chances to win the match.

Week 13 : Saturday 24th November

Week 13: Monopoly 2  vs  Revolution 0 12.00noon - Kings Park

Monopoly took advantage of an under strength Revolution side to record a solid victory at King Park. Revolution started the game with 9 players as Chris Skinner opened the scoring for Monopoly. As Revolution got the complete 11 players the game became more competitive and the score remained 1-nil at half time. In the second half Monopoly's Evan Hale secured the winner as Monopoly were happy to collect all 3 points and lift them up the competition table.

Week 13: Legal Head 2 v Mes Amis 7 2.30pm - Sandy Bay Stadium

Mes Amis and Legal Head battled it out at Sandy Bay Stadium where Mes ran riot in the second half after an injury ravaged Legal Head went down to 10 men with no subs.

Mes always looked in control of the game however didn't have everything their own way when the scores where 2-1 at half time. In the 2nd half Steve Crane brought his scoring boots to record a hat-trick with additional goals from Tommy Smith Senior and Ashley Bell to complete the massacre on the hapless Legal Head.

Week 12 : Saturday 17th November

Week 12: Monopoly 1 vs Spartans 2 12.00noon - Kings Park

In a tough and well spirited match a double by Carlos Sales separated the two teams in a close victory to the Spartans at Kings Park. Monopoly took the lead in the first half before Spartans replied to be all square at the break..The second half was very tight affair with Monopoly hitting the post before Carlos Sales slotted home the winner with 10 minutes to go.

Week 12: ADW 1 v BOC 2 1.30pm - Sai Kung

BOC scored a memorable victory at Sai Kung against a young ADW side with a Jason Lee double being the difference.  ADW started the better opening the scoring in the first half and holding possession for most of it. In the second half BOC turned the tables and came out all guns firing. Golden Boot favourite Jason Lee brought his side a win with 2 excellent goals.

Week 11 : Saturday 10th November

Week 11: Monopoly 1 vs PAFC 0 12.00noon - Kings Park

In a close encounter between the bottom placed teams PAFC season disintegrated further with a narrow loss to Monopoly in the midday game at Kings Park. Both teams canceled one another out in a tight affair with the scores locked at half time. However the second half opened up with free flowing play until Andy Blank fired home the winner for Monopoly to record their first match victory for the season.

Week 11: JLeaguers 4  v Mes Amis 2 1.00pm - Kwong Fuk Park

In a high scoring affair JLeaguers cemented their top place with an excellent display against last seasons champions. Tsurutra open the scoring for the JLeaguers before Mes replied with an equalizer. JLeaguers Makino scored a flyer just before half time to give the competition leaders the lead before the break. Further goals by Kondo and Okabe gave JLeaguers a comfortable victory before a late consolation goal by Mes.

Week 10 : Saturday 3rd November

Week 10: Spartans 3 vs ADW 0 3.30pm - Sandy Bay new astro

In a fairly lackluster game the Spartans strolled to a win against an understrength ADW side. Benito Renfrum got the Spartans ahead with a well taken penalty to give the Spartans a 1 nil lead at half time. Second half goals from Carlos Sales and Issac Davies put the Spartans in cruise control for a comfortable win.

Week 10: Force 3  v PAFC 1 3.00pm - Happy Valley 3

In a difficult game the Force overcame a determine PAFC to score a 3-1 victory at Happy Valley. PAFC were hard done by in the second half after scores where locked 1 all with some possible penalty claims. However Force led by Marc Agostini who scored a double took full advantage to take the three points..

Week 10: Mes Amis 2  v Monopoly 0 12.00noon - Kings Park

Mes Amis welcome return to the Legal League after two month absent saw them score a commanding 2 nil victory over Monopoly. Stuart McInnes scored a cracking goal early in the first half to set the tone for the Mes victory. In the second half last years Fantasy League winner Galvin Simon broke free on the right to notch his first goal for this season.

Week 10: Legal Head 6  v Men United 1 (Champions League)  2.00pm - Sandy Bay new astro

Men United debut in the legal league was less than impressive with a major spanking at the hands of Legal Head. In a rude awakening Legal Head were up 3 goals by half time curtorsy of Andy Mitchell and Rob Winmill. In the second half the massacre continue with Ian Agass scoring a double to put Legal Head a foothold into the semis of the Cup.

Week 9 : Saturday 27th October

Week 9: Spartans 6 vs BOCs 0 3.00pm - Man O'Shan

In a one sided match Spartans took control from start to finish in this loop sided game. Spartans got a goal early with a breakaway from Issac Davies who rounded the keeper. Steve Gordon continued the onslaught and slotted in a double to compound BOC's miserable afternoon. Spartans continued on the rampage in the second half hitting 6 goals in total, before the game fizzled out in the last 10 minutes with BOC's looking for the whistle.

Week 9: Force 3  v JLeaguers 3 1.00pm - Kowloon Tsai 1

In an enterprising and fast furious game both teams had to settle for a draw in close encounter at Kowloon Tsai astro. JLeaguers got a goal late in the first half to take a one nil lead into the break. However the Force started the stronger in the second half with new recruit Marc Agostini scoring a double. JLeaguers hit back with 2 further goals before a late goal by Leong ended a close game with both teams sharing a point each.

Week 8 : Saturday 20th October

Week 8: Legal Head 1 vs ADW 2 12.00noon - Kings Park

In a close match both teams went into the game looking for a result. ADW started the brighter before Gavin McDermott strike from 20 yards to put ADW ahead. Legal Head's Andy Mitchell scored early in the second half and the game looked destined for a draw before Nathan Heyward scored the winner for a fine victory for ADW.

Week 8: BOC 1  v JLeaguers  2 7.00pm - Sandy Bay new astro

BOC and JLeaguers fought it out on Sandy Bay new astro under lights in gripping match. Jleaguers Tsuruta scored twice to give the front runners a vital win. JLeaguers didn't have it all their way and were given a mighty scare by ever persistent BOC after Herman Szeto scored early. All goals came in the first half and the second half saw a close game where both teams could have added to the eventual scoreline.

Week 8: Revolution 0  v PAFC 0 
4.30pm - Sandy Bay stadium
PAFC and Revolution played a dull nil all bore at the Sandy Bay stadium. Few chances were created by either side though PAFC had much of the game. However for all their possession they were unable to create too many scoring chances. Revolution's back four lead by captain Terry Graham held off a determined PAFC side in the end.

Week 8: Force 2  v Monopoly 2  3.00pm - Happy Valley 5 
In a spiteful game where two players were sent off the Force and Monopoly end up all square. Fireworks erupted after Chris Skinner scored a double before Eddie Black clawed the lead back for the Force. In some controversial decisions by the officials the game was turned on it's heels by the sending offs. 

Week 8: Mes Amis  v  Spartans  3.00pm - Sandy Bay Stadium
Mes Amis were once again unable to field a side. The game will be rescheduled to the weeks ahead.

Week 7 : Saturday 13th October

Week 7: Legal Head 0 vs PAFC 3 1.30pm - Sandy Bay Old

PAFC finally got on the score board with a convincing 3 nil victory over the hapless Legal Head. PAFC dominate the game from start to finish with enterprising play. Goals from either side of the half from Ted Baker and Daniel Turner lead the way for an easy victory.

Week 7: BOC 1  v Force  1 2.00pm - Causeway DSC

BOC and Force slugged it out in Causeway Bay in a tough encounter. Both teams had chances to score but neither could get the winning goal. At half time the game was goalless with very little chances for either side. However in the second half the game opened up more and the Force scored before BOC equalised five minutes later.

Week 7: Revolution 1  v Spartans 1 
12.30pm - Sandy Bay stadium
Spartans and Revolution played a gripping encounter at the Sandy Bay stadium. Revolution scored mid way through first half via Andy Saxon delicate chip. Spartans came back strongly in the second half and were awarded a penalty which goalkeeper Richard Hudson saved. However moments later Andrew Crooke hit a superb volley outside the box to grab the equalizer. In the end both teams had to settle for a draw.

Week 7: JLeaguers 3  v Monopoly 0  12.00noon - Kings Park
JLeaguers came out all guns firing at Kings Park to dismantle a struggling Monopoly side. JLeaguers opened the scoring via Yanagita Kohel strike before Takee Nobutaka extended the lead before half time. JLeaguers continued to play excellent flowing football and scored a final goal in the second half to take them to top of the table.
Week 6 : Saturday 6th October

Week 6: BOC 3 vs PAFC 0 4.00pm - Sandy Bay Stadium
PAFC who played with 9 players were no match for a Jason Lee lead BOC team. PAFC had a uphill battle through out the game in the heatwave conditions, while BOC continued to put the pressure on the PAFC defence. Jason Lee once again got on the scorers sheet as BOC look to revive their season.

Week 6: ADW 4  v Revolution  1 12.30pm - Sandy Bay new astro

ADW Gavin McDermott took control as ADW gave Revolution a spanking at the new Sandy Bay astro. McDermott was in the thick of things as Revolution only goal came from ADW own goal. ADW look like their pressing for title contention as they go top the league table on goal difference.

Week 6: Legal Head 2  v JLeaguers 2 
7.00pm - Sandy Bay new astro  Legal Head hit their stride to give JLeaguers a tough game in a 2 all draw in the Sandy Bay night game. Legal Head controlled much of the game leading twice but were unable to hold the lead. Ian Agass scored the first before JLeaguers equalised before the half. The second half continued much the same way as Ken Abela scored to give Legal Head the lead before JLeaguers hit the equalizer with 5 minutes to go.


Week 5 : Saturday 29th September

Week 5: Force 1 vs JLeaguers 2 3.00pm - Happy Valley
In a close affair the JLeaguers continued their winning ways with a tough 2-1 win against the resilient Force. JLeaguers scored on either half however didn't have it all their way with Force missing a few good chances. Force scored in the second half to make it a tense last 15 minutes.

Week 5: Spartans 4  v Legal Head  1 2.30pm - Sandy Bay Stadium 

Spartans look in control for much of the game taking a 2-nil lead at half time after Alex Pichler scored a double. The second half continued very much the same as the first with the Spartans having long spells of dominance. Carlos Sales and Steve Gordon continued the avalanche of goals with a well deserved victory.

Week 5: PAFC 0  v Monopoly 2 FORFEIT 12.00noon - Kings Park 

PAFC were unable to field a side and the game was awarded to Monopoly on a forfeit.

Week 4 : Saturday 22nd September

In some what of a rarity each of the remaining undefeated teams lost this weekend, so within the first 4 rounds every team has been defeated. It is only early but the season is definitely shaping up to be one of the closest for sometime.

Week 4: ADW  0 vs JLeaguers 2 4.30pm - Happy Valley 2

After last weeks defeat the JLeaguers bounced back in the best possible way defeating high flying ADW at Happy Valley. The JLeaguers opened the account with Tomoo Onodera who finished the goal some excellent build up play. In the second half the game was fairly even until a penalty kick was awarded and Toshiko Okabe stepped up to score the winner. 

Week 4: Mes Amis 1 v Revolution 2 2.30pm - Sandy Bay Stadium 

In a major upset this was Revolution's biggest victory for several seasons leaving champions Mes Amis in world of hurt at Sandy Bay Stadium and throwing the title race wide open. Revolution once again started the stronger of the two sides and they surged on with Mike McGorven getting on to a ball and striking home the first goal. Revolution continued their way's and Alex Moore booted home a second for Revo. Mes where not done yet and Mes back bone Phil "pipes" Downing thundered strike outside the box. But it wasn't enough to save the game for the Champions and their first defeat for the new campaign.

Week 4: Force 4 v Legal Head 1  3.00pm - Happy Valley

Legal Head's season took a jolt as the Force came out all guys blazing with a comprehensive performance at the Valley. The Force took the game from the start striking a goal from the very beginning and continuing their avalanche of goals before Legal Head scoring a consolation towards the end of the game.

 
Week 3 : Saturday 15th September

Week 3: ADW  4 vs Monopoly 3 1.30pm - Kowloon Tsai 3

In a fast furious game both teams gave it their all in tough high scoring contest. Nana Kofi double for Monopoly wasn't enough to secure a victory but Alex Kirk's double was just what ADW needed to get all three points. ADW marks men from last weeks victory where on song again with goals from Gavin McDermott and Ethan Halberg added to their seasons goal tally. While Youssef Ajdir scored an early goal for Monopoly to set the tone for a big scoreline.

Week 3: Force 2 v Revolution 2 3.00pm - Kowloon Tsai 2 

Revolution where hit early by a rampant Force in the first 10 minutes to go down two goals. Revolution however clawed their way back into the contest with Terry Graham diving header hitting the back of the net to level things up. The game continued to go from one side to the other but neither team could find another goal and in the end both teams had to settle for a draw.

Week 3: Legal Head 3 v BOC 1 4.30pm - Po Tsui Park

Legal Head are already halfway to achieving their 2006/2007 points total of eight thanks to this well-deserved win against BOC. A first-half goal from Ian Agass put last season's wooden spooners 1-0 up before two second-half goals from former golden boot Andy Mitchell settled the issue. A late goal from BOC set up a nervy last five minutes for Head, but they held on, despite a couple of scares, to soar into third place in the table.

Week 3: JLeaguers 2  vs Spartans 3   7.00pm - Sandy Bay astro

In a high tempo game last seasons Cup final replay the Spartans reversed the tables on the JLeaguers to secure a much needed victory. In a close high scoring game the Spartans took an early lead by Jonathan Southgate before the JLeaguers responded with a goal. The Spartans once again took the lead with Henry Vera header before JLeaguers responded to have the teams locked 2-all at half time. In the second half a mazy run by Colin Scallan resulted in a penalty which Colin slotted in to secure a Spartans victory and all 3 points.


Week 2 : Saturday 8th September

Week 2: ADW  5 vs Force 1 4pm - Happy Valley 4.

ADW ran riot at Happy Valley as the Force great start was put into check by impressive ADW performance. Ethan Halberg netted two goals to get ADW's season a huge boost.While further goals from Gavin McDermott and Rob Burroughs made the victory all too easy.

Week 2: Legal Head 1 v Revolution 1 3.00pm - Sandy Bay Stadium

Revolution failed once again to hold on to a lead after goalkeeper error in the dying minutes resulted in Rob Winmill scoring the equaliser for Legal Head. Both teams had chances and in the end a draw may have been a fair result for both sides.

Week 2: PAFC 0 v Mes Amis 2 4.30pm - Sandy Bay Stadium

Mes continued their 100% start to the season recording another win in a spirited contest. The game was fairly tight before Mes player Adib Azahar beat the offside trap and slotted in the first goal.  The second half PAFC continued to pressure before HKFC 1st team player Stuart McInness slotted in the winner for Mes.

Week 2: BOC 0  vs Monopoly 0   12.00noon - Kings Park

In a rarther dull affair neither side could create any clear cut chance to secure the win. In the end both sides defences ruled supreme and both teams had to settle for a point.

 
Week 1 : Saturday 25th August

Week 1: ADW  2 vs BOC 2 2pm - Sandy Bay new astro.

In tough game at Sandy Bay both teams has chances to win the game. Jason Lee continued his goal scoring exploits again this year with a double. While Paul Slattery slotted in a penalty to even the game. In the end both teams were happy with a point.

Week 1: Force 2 v Spartans 0 3.30pm - Sandy Bay new astro

Debutants Force created the first upset of the season beating the highly fancied Spartans in the torrential rain at Sandy Bay. The game was locked at 0-0 with 10 mins to go before Eddie Lee beat the offside trap to put the Force ahead. Spartans threw everything forward before Force got another late winner.

Week 1: JLeaguers 3 v Revolution 2 1.00pm - Kwong Fuk Park astro

Revolution were cruising with 2 - 1 lead in the heat of Tai Po, before wilting and coming undone for a JLeaguers victory. In the game that escaped Revolution they had much the better first half before JLeaguers once again scored the late winner to get three valuable points.

Week 1: Legal Head   vs PAFC  6.30pm - Sandy Bay new astro

The game was abandon after 20 minutes when a 10 man PAFC side went up 1- nil. In a huge pitch-booking mix-up two lots of groups had the same tickets for the same pitch.

Week 1: Mes Amis 2  vs Monopoly 1 1.30 - Po Tsui Park

Mes Amis held there nerve the better in the second half after a close contest. Both teams played tough brand of football and where nil-nil at half time with nothing in it. Nana scored for Monopoly early in the second half before Mes striked back to score two unanswered goals and take all three points.......match report.

Hong Kong Legal League 7's Tournament Saturday 28th June 2008


The Hong Kong Legal League held it's annual 7's tournament at HKU, Stanley Ho Sports Centre in Pok Fu Lam. The league has accepted 8 teams outside the other 8 sides in the HK Legal League.

The eventual winners were Mes Amis who won the final 3-0 against a team from Macau called Macau Portugese House.

The weather held out for the day and all in all the tournament was a major success. HKU staff where fantastic on the day and helped the organisers tremendously. Spartans Celebration after they win the title


COMMING SEASON 2007/2008.

Congratulations to Mes Amis league champions for 2006/2007 and to JLeaguers for Champions League Winners in 2006/2007.

Strong welcome to Force who will be in the competition proper and M Utd who willl be playing the Champions League competition only.

To all teams best of luck in the season let's hope it a successful one for all involved.
